Redefining Pro Choice

The phrase "pro choice" was coined by marketing experts to put a more palpable face on the otherwise deeply disturbing practice of abortion (see HERE), as opposed to calling it pro abortion holocaust or genocide or fetal oppression or terrorism. (see HERE and HERE and HERE and HERE and HERE)

What is the choice?

However, the "choice" to abort has been selectively restricted by liberals to pregnant women. The Left has been against allowing fathers, parents, unborn babies, or state governments the right to choose not to allow abortions. (see HERE)

Yet, who knows how far they are willing to take the "my body, my choice" mantra? (see HERE)

The liberal concept of "choice" also doesn't extend to other public policy issues, like health care, union membership, gun ownership, fast foods, fossil fuels, traditional marriage, etc.: (see HERE and HERE and HERE and HERE and HERE and HERE and HERE)

Ironically, it is one of the few policy issues where big government liberals do an about-face (see HERE):

What the slogan, "pro choice," really boils down to is the right to choose irresponsible sexual behavior and evading the natural consequences.

And, while abortion advocates decry the imposition of religious morals (see HERE and HERE and HERE and HERE and HERE), they have no problem imposing their immorality, particularly by way of government funding. (see HERE and HERE)
