Redefining News/Media

Avram Noam Chmski once said: "Whoever controls the media controls the minds of the public." (see HERE)

Similar statements have been made by Jim Morrison (see HERE) and  Allen Ginsberg (see HERE) as well as Malcolm X:

While these declarations are particularly applicable to state-run media, they also hold true in democracies where the media in general, and news organizations in particular, are highly politicized and politically biased, like in the U.S.  (see  HERE and HERE and HERE and HERE and HERE)

The Left are quite adept at media manipulation (see HERE and HERE and HERE and HERE and HERE and HERE and HERE and HERE and HERE and HERE and HERE), in large part because the vast majority of mainstream media personnel have been educated by liberal institutions and tend to vote Democrat and are funded by liberal donors (see HERE and HERE and HERE and HERE and HERE)--though they are in deep denial about their bias. (see HERE and HERE and HERE and HERE and HERE and HERE)

In recent times the biased has become more than self-evident, with the mainstream media doing little to hide its slant, even to the degree of following the same talking points (presumably circulated by the DNC or Obama White House), and lying to disparage Republicans. (see HERE and HERE--just a few of many that could be cited)

But, the Right-wing media, too, isn't immune to bias and slants. (see HERE and HERE and HERE)

Consequently, many viewers are either easily manipulated one way or the other, or they are conflicted--not knowing who or what to believe and trust. Confidence in media is at an all-time low (see HERE), with most of the distrust coming, understandably, from Conservatives. (see HERE)
